Meet Charles

Virideas LLC was founded by Charles Nelson with the intention to help companies, both large and small, drive commercialization of new energy, chemical, electrochemical, and manufacturing technologies into operational assets/companies.

 

Charles is an experienced, results-oriented executive, entrepreneur, advisor, board member, and engineer with a track record of leading commercial/business development, product development, engineering, technology commercialization, and corporate operations.

Previous work include:

• 1 Billion gallon (largest in history at the time) offtake deal for sustainable aviation fuel with United Airlines

• 2 different first of their kind CO2 + NG to chemicals plants built and operated at 10x scale of previous facility

• Conceptualized and contracted first CO2 to fuels project in history with Carbon Engineering (technology evolved into Infiniumco.com). Company has offtake contracted with Amazon.

• Rolled out business spin out for subsurface hydrogen production and contracted off take with 2 major counter parties

• Led R&D and product development for specialty chemicals/products in paints and coatings, personal care, lubricants, and other B2C applications

• Contracted pilot plant for lithium clay processing

• Over 500 miles of natural gas pipeline contracted and built

• Unique condensate processing facility in Ohio

• Oil supply pipeline with Marathon

• Acquired a short line railroad and rehabbed/expanded track operations in Eastern Ohio

• Established new unit train rail routes from US to Canada
